Shivers

I'm thinking of how to expand my repertoire on advarp [I admit it, that's what it is].

I don't want to do anything illegal, so it'll have to be done by proxy.

This is how it works: if you care enough to want to know, you'll take it upon yourself to:
  1. buy it;
  2. download it.
Begin:

We are taught that the human body has five senses. Let us try to include sound in advarp.

One sound that sends a shiver down my spine is the massively enormous/huge/immense [big] fuzz bass that kicks in on Neutral Milk Hotel's Ghost. [Off their concept album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.]
  1. Listen to it through a proper stereo, and you didn't know how big a bass sound can get.
  2. It might be so big only in contrast with the presence of the acoustic guitar strum.
  3. It swells! You sense its approach, and when it comes, it crashes all over you.
  4. God bless all who believe in fuzz on bass. All you need is fuzz.
  5. A bass that big resonates. The bass is the rhythm in the song. You feel the beat in the single bass note.
  6. It's also a pretty good song apart from the bass.
Neutral Milk Hotel are no longer. The song is eight years old. I only discovered it last year. Eight years ago, I only just discovered music. People still talk about this band [I was listening to the drummer from the Dresden Dolls talk about this album last week].

If you decide to branch out and buy/download [borrow from me] the whole album, you'll hear bagpipes!
