Dinner with strangers
Tonight, dinner at Table for 20.
Fettucini carbonara, osso bucco, and tiramisu, with a limoncello digestif.
Delicious. I also had a few bites of Julia's truffle penne, and that was, in my drunken state, divine. I think the aroma of truffles always gets me. I breathe it in and I'm instantly satisfied.
They do good things at Table for 20. Must try it again.
There was also much wine tonight. I'm still in a state, but I know I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I especially enjoyed the venue and the company. Must try it again.
We spoke of peasant food during the main course. I don't see any negative connotation to the 'peasant'. Must get my head around the argument and discuss it with Tamara.
I'm still in a state.

Niimi Station

Here's what happened:
8:06 AM Niimi Train Station March 1
It's cold. And I'm not supposed to be here. I missed my stop on the sleeper train.
The train stopped at around half-six and I asked the conductor if this was my stop.
'Next station,' he said.
The train took a few minutes and then took off.
The announcer came on the PA as we approached Kurashiki, and I got up to leave as we slowed down. A man got out of my way coming from the toilet, and when I got to the train door it started to close. The train didn't even stop for a minute. I thought I had time! The two school boys on the platform saw what happened and both smiled at my mistake.
I stood at the door for a while, hoping the train would stop again soon. I went back to my bed and half slept before the announcer spoke of Niimi.
Niimi is north. There aren't any lines west. I'm going back south. Back to Kurashiki. Platform 3 at 8:34 AM.
I managed to speak to Tobes.

Reminder
Do you remember that movie Memento? He has to write things down to remember them, because his brain is fucked?
All Tomorrow's Parties was awesome. I like rock music. Forget that indie crap.
